GAI Consultants is looking for a technically diversified Senior Engineering Manager to develop and grow GAI's Transportation Practice in Pennsylvania. The position is a hybrid position with an office in the greater Pittsburgh region. This candidate will be able to perform project planning, engineering design, project management, business development, team development, financial management, quality management, and staff recruiting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervising entry to mid-experienced professional engineers, EITs, and CAD staff.
• Leading the design and technical direction for bridge and roadway transportation projects.
• Deliverables may include Reports, Contract Drawings, Special Provisions, Specifications, Permits, Quantities, and Opinions of Probable Cost.
• Leading the coordination with interfacing disciplines.
• Maintaining proficiency with engineering software.
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the budget, schedule, and quality of Tasks and being up to speed on regulation changes and agency protocols and requirements.
• The candidate will be responsible for the development of proposals, scopes of work, staff-hour estimates, and work plans for engineering portions of work pursuits.
• Domestic travel for periodic project site visits or client meetings (up to 25% of the time).

Qualifications:

• Bachelors (B.S.) degree from an accredited college in Civil Engineering (M.S. degree a plus)
• Professional Engineering license required (or have the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire) PA Required, OH or WV a Plus).
• Working experience and relationships with PennDOT Districts and the PA Turnpike Commission.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and work independently as needed on project-specific tasks.
• Ability to be efficient in planning and organizing workload.
• Dedicated commitment to performing quality work with a positive attitude and work ethic.
• Knowledge of MicroStation Connect Software and its use to generate roadway drawings.
