Teksouth is looking for a Functional Audit Readiness Specialist to assist Department of Defense (DoD) personnel by leveraging expertise in auditing and financial management regulations and overseeing core GFEBS business processes.

Location : This position is onsite in Homestead, FL.

Security Clearance : An active Secret Clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a Command Annual Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM).

• Create and maintain an audit readiness sustainment schedule and POAM to track SOCSOUTH's audit readiness efforts, including milestones, resources, roles, and deliverables.

• Provide training to government personnel, equipping them with the skills necessary to thrive in the audit readiness environment.

• Develop Financial Improvement Plans (FIPs) for corrective actions as required.

• Ensure Key Supporting Documents (KSDs) align with FIAR guidance and USSOUTHCOM/USSOCOM policies.

• Produce business process narratives and flowcharts to outline specific processes, associated risks, and required controls, while also training FIAR and MICP leads.

• Collaborate with SOCSOUTH and service FIAR representatives to ensure uniform audit-readiness strategies and practices are maintained.

• Facilitate correspondence and coordinate on-site visits with external audit agencies such as the Government Accountability Office, Service Audit Agency, and DoD Inspector General.

• Provide expert personnel with comprehensive knowledge of DoD Financial Management Regulations and GFEBS core business processes, including Financial (FI), Spending Chain (SC), Fund Management (FM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Accounts Receivable (AR), and other related systems.

• Deliver monthly GFEBS process and procedural training at individual and group levels, in both classroom and workshop settings.

• Assist in developing GFEBS Business Intelligence (BI) and Business Objects (BO) reports across various SAP/Oracle functionalities (FA, FM, SD, CO, HR).

Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance is mandatory.

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 24 credits in auditing, accounting, or finance.

• At least five (5) years of DoD accounting or auditing experience, with strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR).

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Oracle/SAP ERP software, with at least three (3) years working with GFEBS.

• Functional expertise in GCSS-Army, MOCAS, EDA, WAWF, DTS, and GTCC/GPC programs and systems.
