Role Overview:

Sales at Master Builders Solutions revolves around the customer experience and driving profitable growth. The foundation for this is a strong team that brings specific application, industry, and market knowledge to understand the diverse markets in which we participate to build trusting, satisfying customer relationships.

Master Builders Solutions is looking for a passionate Sales Trainee to work directly in the field supporting a specified sales territory/area. This position is an entry-level position that will focus on training the individuals about our brand of products and concrete solutions, indoctrinating them to the industry and customer base, strengthening their concrete knowledge, and preparing them for a Territory Manager position with their own territory sales assignment.

The Sales Trainee is part of the Master Builders Solutions Admixture Business line and will be a member of the Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana sales region. They will report to the regional manager for which they are assigned and a dotted line report to the local Territory Manager. They will work closely with the sales and dispenser operations team in their area, complete required corporate training, participate in local concrete associations and engage with marketing, R& D, and other departments in the Admixture organization.

While the specific activities for this role may be unique by area for which they are assigned, the sales trainee will be responsible for contributing to the success of the team by: building and maintaining customer relationships within their area; Supporting daily customer activities, assisting at job sites and servicing our customers; Becoming skilled at concrete technology concepts, testing procedures, admixtures, product solutions, and basic mix design; and developing business acumen and identifying the financial drivers in their territory.

This role will have shared sales targets and individual annual objectives. A successful candidate will need to work well both in a team environment and independently, take direction from multiple sources, be adaptable to various situations, and have a desire to grow rapidly. The candidate must be mobile and willing to relocate as they transition into a sales territory of their own.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers to provide growth in assigned existing accounts, customer retention, and satisfaction

  • Provide support to existing customers including new product introduction, technical sales, and concrete field testing

  • Sustain customer relationships and support newly acquired accounts

  • Assist in maintaining, installing, and monitoring dispenser equipment.

  • Increase revenue for assigned existing accounts by promoting new products, optimization of product mix product upsell

  • Determine your market opportunities and pursue potential new customers

  • Understand the key drivers of the concrete industry

  • Identify the competitive landscape in your region and protect your market share

  • Foster an increasing safety awareness and adhere to the EHS/Safety standards at Master Builders Solutions.

  • Effectively manages the budget.
