Hill-Rom Project Manager (Remote) in Home Office/Virtual, Texas

JOB SUMMARY:

This dynamic role, in the healthcare software industry, is pivotal within Hillrom Care Communications. The Project Manager is a field-based role, responsible for the planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of Hillrom Care Communications customer-awarded projects per Project Management specifications. Care Communications project managers oversee all aspects of the client project engagement from sales handoff to transition to ongoing support. Key activities include project planning, resource allocation and coordination, project risk assessment and mitigation, revenue forecasting, customer communication and internal stakeholder management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act with autonomy as the primary point of contact for all client project related needs during an active implementation, including:

  • Project planning & execution

  • Utilize project management software, conduct regular meetings, provide agendas and meeting minutes, and create and maintain project plans

  • Customer relationship management (internal/external)

  • Host in-person and remote meetings

  • Resource & vendor management

  • Revenue forecasting and management

  • Product expertise

  • Supply chain (project specific) management

  • Provide strong, proactive, project leadership. Drive follow-ups in respectful/professional manner

  • Manage project scope and deliverables across multiple, concurrent engagements.

  • Continually assess and reprioritize defined sequence tasks, within aggressive schedules, through individual effort and coordination of the work of others.

  • Track all required project metrics, i.e., conversion rate

  • Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve customer issues

  • Meet or exceed established PMO metrics including revenue forecasting, assigned project reporting/deliverables, customer revenue/project count loads, and customer satisfaction reporting.

  • Travel 30 – 50% depending on geographic location.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in healthcare, IT, business or related industry

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT project management; preferably with external customer projects

  • History working within customers’ IT departments. Ability to discuss networking, virtual server deployments, IT security concerns, remote connectivity, and software deployment methodology

  • Health care environment experience desired.

  • PMP or other industry related certification(s) a plus.

  • Experience with consultative project management approach

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with positive and self-motivated attitude.

  • Ability to facilitate, manage and motivate large, diverse groups without direct line authority

  • Proven capable of Interactions with customer’s ‘C’ level management, and Hillrom senior management

  • Proven ability to successfully communicate critical instruction, both written and verbal

  • Positive and self-motivated attitude and ability to work through complex issues, customer politics, and personalities.

  • Technical aptitude
