Job Summary:

Defines, designs, verifies, and creates documentation for Analog ASIC development that targets, but is not limited to imaging and RFID functions and products. Determines architecture design, circuit design and system simulation. Understands Analog ASIC design techniques and process physics to make design decisions and tradeoffs to create a low-power die-size optimized design. Strong experience designing bandgaps, opamps, LDOs, switch mode power supplies and current drives including the understanding of which topology to use in the target product. Evaluates all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to transistor-level, floor-planning, layout, and power use. Analyzes equipment to establish operation data, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Architects, designs, and supports developing, and testing of Analog ASIC solutions for complex technical projects. Creates specifications for the projects. Leads technology/device roadmap process.

  • Recommends project approach and goals.

  • Champions new thinking and creativity in team members to cultivate and retain top talent.

  • Coaches others on how to effectively develop, communicate, and implement new solutions.

  • Key contributor and leader for vendor selection process, including development agreements with ASIC vendors. Leads team meetings with vendor's engineering staff.

  • Provides approval of device specification and approvals at tape out, final silicon, and mass production milestones.

  • Prioritizes quality and seeks out improvements in all aspects of the final solution

  • Maintains keen awareness of competitor products and development direction to help direct designs to surpass the competition.

  • Uses status as a developer of novel and creative solutions to build business and bring positive attention to technologies and services.

  • With other engineering disciplines, develops next generation ideas and solutions to meet client needs before the competition.

  • Analyzes competitor intellectual property and participates in activities related to protecting intellectual property.

  • Delivery of expert level technical support in the resolution of Analog ASIC design and application issues.

  • Serves as organization spokesperson on specialized projects or programs.

  • Acts as prime consultant on large projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors (bachelor’s with 9+ years’ experience or Masters with 6+ years’ experience)

  • Analog ASIC circuit design at the transistor level

  • Solid experience with switched mode power supplies, LDOs, bandgaps, bias, opamps, and current drives

  • Experience with tools like SPICE, Spectre AMS or equivalent

  • Master’s degree

Salary: USD 150400.00 - USD 225600.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
