This position requires the ability to produce high quality close tolerance parts, assembly of prototype machines, and support the entire facility and maintenance department.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

· Reading and understanding blueprints

· Edit programs as necessary.

· Enter wear offsets and change feeds and speeds as necessary.

· Change tools in the machine and input tool height measurements.

· Set-up machine

· Change fixtures, as needed and indicate fixture zero.

· Manual lathe and mills as well as CNC experience required.

· Conversational CNC programming from scratch a plus

· Practice safe work habits.

· Routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine

· Quality inspection of parts produced using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.

· Work with a team of others, QC/QA, engineers, and programmers to ensure all product meets specifications.

· Inventor / AutoCAD experience a plus

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED is required.

· Minimum of 4 years of experience on vertical and/or horizontal milling machines

· Knowledge and understanding of G&M codes on mills.

· Ability to hold close tolerances.

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

· Able to follow written safety procedures and know and understand basic safety and power tools.
