Air Education and Training Command Laborer in Holloman AFB, New Mexico

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Strikers Bowling Center on Holloman AFB in New Mexico. This is a flexible position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, including occasional weekends and holidays. Military Spouse Preference is not lost if selected for this position. Heavy physical effort is required in frequent lifting and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds, and in using heavy hand tools and operating equipment. Responsibilities The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of limited maintenance work within the bowling facility. The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to: Cleans, oils, and polishes the bowling lanes and lane approaches adhering to established standards. Sweeps, dusts, and cleans other areas of the bowling facility. Collects and removes trash; and maintains all areas in a clean and orderly fashion. Hand sands and varnishes minor flaws in lanes until surface can be conditioned. Makes minor corrective adjustments to bowling lane machinery as necessary, and performs periodic minor preventive maintenance on automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment. Maintains stock levels and records on spare parts for automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment. Advises bowling facility management of unusual maintenance problems. Performs other related duties as assigned. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
