Low Voltage Cable Technician

Job Description

As a Low Voltage Cable Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring reliable infrastructure support within the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation and Termination: You’ll handle the installation, termination, testing, labeling, and decommissioning of various low-voltage cabling systems, including Power, CAT5/6 Copper, and Fiber.

  • Infrastructure Support: You’ll work with CAT5, CAT6, and conduit, running voice and data cables. Additionally, you’ll maintain surveillance and video systems, perform preventative maintenance on cameras and monitors, and manage licensing information.

  • Safety and Compliance: Adhering to job site safety protocols, you’ll use hand and power tools, patch panels, and professional AV equipment. Your work will contribute to maintaining access control systems and other related cabling.

  • Qualifications:

  • Experience: Ideally, you’ll have at least 1 year of experience working on commercial projects.

  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with low voltage methodology and electrical systems.

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

  • Proficiency in using telecom tools, including punch downs, wire strippers, and cordless drills.

  • Willingness to work full-time or overtime as needed.
