Facilities Maintenance Technician (Level III):

Posting Description for Internal Candidates

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for repairs, adjustments and ongoing maintenance services for the entire facility. This position evaluates requests for repairs as well as troubleshoots and conducts periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required. Maintains all equipment vital to perform work. Works with a variety of equipment. May perform Electrical; HVAC; Welding; Rigging; Machinery Installation; Machine Repair; Piping Systems, and /or carpentry repairs of equipment on company premises.

The primary responsibility will involve plant maintenance, responding to calls from the plant’s process lines for mechanical breakdowns, and planned installations as directed by manager.

Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces assembles, adjusts and maintains all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.

Troubleshoots and installs electrical systems.

Install facility infrastructure, including fabrication, as required to meet business needs.

Responds to emergency calls, inspections and troubleshoots defective equipment.

Operates wide variety of hand tools and equipment depending on job.

Completes work as assigned on maintenance work orders, fills out paperwork as needed.

Performs housekeeping in all areas of the plant

Willingness and ability to work off schedule hours as needed.

Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent

Basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatics understandings required.

Computer skills (Microsoft excel, work order management software) preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience.

Experience as a maintenance technician at a manufacturing facility preferred.

Trade skills (ie: HVAC, electrical, welding) heavily preferred.

Ability to work outdoors, possibly in adverse weather conditions, and at heights required.

Training will be required (and provided) in forklift, lockout tagout, respirator, first aid.

Must meet qualifications to acquire a government personal security clearance.

This position is also eligible for bonus and equity as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales incentives/commission) is $45,700.00 - $84,800.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
