Job Title: Furnace Operator - Overnight Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foundry Operator to join our team for the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely loading materials into the furnace, monitoring furnace operations, obtaining and testing material samples, pouring materials into molds, and ensuring proper disposal of unwanted materials. This role requires a high level of safety awareness, discipline, and the ability to follow detailed processes.

Responsibilities

• Load material into the furnace and monitor operations, including temperatures, according to written instructions.

• Obtain material samples and test them using a spectrograph to ensure compliance with requirements.

• Pour materials into ladles and molds as indicated by the pour chart and work orders.

• Remove castings from molds and shake out additional materials.

• Dispose of unwanted materials from the work and staging areas properly.

• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.

• Ensure all safety protocols and PPE requirements are strictly followed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31200.00 - $60000.00
