Staffing Inc. is partnered with a great company in Norton Shores, MI, who is looking for a P2 Operator Level 1. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking candidate with a good eye for detail. Examine blueprints or travelers for the finished product, set up and make minor adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of mechanisms, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product under supervision.

P2 Operator Level 1 Responsibilities:

• Machine setup and operation to create workpieces under supervision/ 1^st^ part check.
• Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary.
• Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions and to plan operational sequences
• Start up/shut down procedure.
• Position, adjust, and secure stock material or workpieces against stops or automatic feeding mechanisms.
• Perform minor machine maintenance, such as oiling or cleaning machines, dies, or workpieces.
• Extract or lift jammed pieces from machines, using fingers, wire hooks, or lift bars.
• Record operational data such as feed rates and speeds.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpieces, using files, hand grinders, wire brushes, or power tools.

P2 Operator Level 1 Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Training in general safety, awareness and quality system awareness.
• Knowledge of raw materials, Machines, tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Accurately prepare documents, production sheets and other reports and related paperwork as required by our procedures.
• Ability to work closely and follow instructions and written processes.
• Quick paced, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Good verbal and written communication
• Good computer skills
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking of a wide range of practical problems.
• Work independently and make independent solutions.
• High-level of visual awareness
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, twist, and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Pass background check/drug screen
• Great attendance and positive attitude
• Flexible and team player
• Work in a Hot environment
• Work Overtime, Weekends and or Holidays
