We are seeking a talented and motivated Sales Development Manager in the Corporate & Health market to join our global Specialty team. Reporting into the Europe & US Sales Manager, this pivotal role is at the heart of delivering the ambitious growth roadmap, driving new business development.

How you will make an impact:

  • Expand Relationship Building: Research and identify new market opportunities and areas for business growth as well as implement strategies to develop and grow new relationships.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategic sales development plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share in several corporate verticals.
  • Completes In-Depth Customer Research: Leverage various sources to research customers and their needs; Seek out market insights and trends; Use research to tailor outreach and plan for customer meetings
  • Demonstrate Corp & Health Vertical Expertise: Research R&D strategies across multiple BUs; Influence through Value-Selling Behaviors and recommend journal and non-journal content that will drive R&D outcomes.
  • Data-Driven: ability to analyze data and trends to develop customer-centric value story, facilitating data-driven conversations to drive stakeholder consensus and deliver successful agreement outcomes.
  • Executes Prospecting & Lead Management: Execute outbound activities and build a strong pipeline of net-new customer leads.
  • Manages Opportunity Pipeline: Follows Wiley sales processes and opportunity management approach; captures efforts in common and consistent way in CRM

We are looking for people who:

  • 5+ years of experience in the publishing industry
  • 3+ years of sales experience in the Corporate & Health market, in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of growing new business.
  • Evidence of strong customer-facing communication skills
  • Strong email/written communication skills

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the UK, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
