Stevens Institute of Technology Research Assistant Professor in Hoboken, New Jersey

Job Description
Stevens Institute of Technology is looking to hire a Research Assistant Professor to work in the Davidson Laboratory.The appropriate candidate must have a PhD in Coastal/Ocean Engineering or a related field and a PE license.The appropriate candidate will have experience working on coastal hazard and risk assessment projects. Desired qualifications include:
Experience with mentoring students
A record of previous peer-reviewed publications
Documented teaching experience
Additional requirements dictated by the funding source include:
Experience with field instrumentation including: GPS systems, current profilers, wave gauges, and UAVs
Experience with numerical modeling software including Delft3D and XBeach
Experience with operational storm erosion forecast systems
Experience with data-driven modeling techniques including machine learning and fragility curves
Experience working on living shoreline projects
Experience writing technical reports for state/federal agencies
Experience defending technical reports in a legal setting
