ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

You will be providing leadership and direction to the multiple apparel sourcing development teams in country who are responsible for building strong vendor partnerships, ensuring that all products are developed on time and in line with the brand’s creative and strategic direction. You will work with the Asia Product Supply Sourcing leadership in the hub, to co-create the category (Apparel)sourcing strategy for your production country. You will play a key role in advocating for, and developing the country’s vendor base to support VFs product supply objectives.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: (but not limited to)

➢ Manage vendor partnerships in the region, to support the product development processes of the brands while optimizing performance across the category

➢ Co-create (with product supply hub and country leadership) and drive execution against seasonal and longer term vendor strategies for Apparel in region

➢ Plan & optimize apparel team resource allocation in your region and ensure the team is fully aware of their respective roles & responsibilities

➢ Enhancing and advocating for vendors’ capabilities and use of new technologies, to drive innovation of process and product

➢ Keeping abreast of the industry trends, new products, innovation, competitor activities, market risks etc. in the region for the category and proactively bringing opportunities and solutions for VFs current and future needs.

➢ Communicating proactively with cross functional stakeholders, when there are development concerns raised – and provide solutions where possible, to rectify, whilst maintaining set calendar dates

➢ Collaboration with all ‘in country’ internal stakeholders across Production, Global Material Supply, Compliance, Responsible Sourcing, Product Stewardship, Logistics and Quality teams to ensure the Delivery of all set KPIs.

➢ Fostering and role modelling a culture of inclusion, candor and trust.

➢ Build a learning culture in the team Support all associates in the team, to ensure they create and drive their individual development plans. Develop a strong talent pipeline for key leadership positions in your team.

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

➢ Knowledge of apparel – with proven experience in development of knitted and woven product and managing a diverse product collection.

➢ You will be coaching and developing your team, providing timely constructive feedback enabling them to excel and realize their potential.

➢ Proven leadership experience in managing multi-cultural teams and ability to influence stakeholders on a global level to advance business goals.

➢ Understanding of evolving trends in the industry on product development such as digital product creation .

➢ Drive and passion to make a difference, presenting a growth mindset that role models positivity and curiosity to your team and peers.

➢ Executive presence – you will be capable of capturing your audience’s attention, being composed and well prepared.

➢ Ability to lead, facilitate and champion change.

➢ Language Proficiency: Excellent English
