Nestle Business Development Manager in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

POSITION SNAPSHOT

MAIN DUTIES

• Commercial Operations

  • Responsible for achieving all business targets

  • Control of cost and expenses

  • Optimize key financial indicators for distributor

  • Develop & implement the commercial plan in line with business strategy & support the forecasting process of distributors.

  • Increase business efficiency of commercial activities

  • Find manage and motivate distributors’ teams in maximizing business efficiency

• Sales-Distributor Management & Key Account

  • Develop & implement sales/customer/consumer plans & strategies with marketing manager

  • Deliver sales plans

  • Innovate and review portfolio strategy to align with market opportunity with key customers

  • Review and calibrate route-to-market

  • Identify opportunities for distribution expansion

  • Manage trade spending effectively

  • Drive sales forecast accuracy

  • Develop annual Joint Business Plan with key customers

  • Implement a category in-charge with best-in-class merchandising standards

• Marketing

  • Develop and implement a holistic marketing plan and brand activation with Brand Manager

  • Identify new category /segment opportunities

  • Identify needs & conduct research to gain consumer/trade insight

  • Evaluate ROI of marketing activities to ensure brand objectives are met.

  • Develop & support pricing strategy to enhance profitability and competitiveness

  • Optimize marketing spends

  • Identify strategic events, sponsorships and branding opportunities.

• Supply Chain

  • Support accurate sales forecast and optimum stock holding for distributors

  • Attend & review the MBP process to ensure business KPIs are met

  • Explore improvements in operations/efficiency to manage costs

  • Rationalize SKUs for range optimization and profit delivery

  • Engage & collaborate with the Supply Chain Management team to align on support for the category's factory forecast process.

• Finance

  • Manage product mix & implement an action plan to close the profit gap

  • Review portfolio mix & establish corrective measures to achieve profitability

  • Regional team collaboration

  • Collaborate & interface with Regional office on sales & brand matters

  • Ensure timely submission of reports and feedback

  • Drive alignment with regional marketing/commercial plan

• Safety & Health

  • Promote, practice & inculcate safety culture in our workplace

  • Promote, practice & inculcate a culture of commitment towards Quality

• Coach & Develop distributor team

  • Motivate & guide team members to deliver business results

  • Support & help the team work towards their career aspirations

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree

• More than 10 years in business with 8 years in Marketing and Sales. Over this period has successfully delivered on KPIs Especially top-line and bottom-line business results. Alternatively, has 8-10 years of experience in a related function with demonstrated commercial acumen and potential for a business role.

• Leading and managing cross-functional teams at local market level

• Active player within a matrix organization and business/project multi-disciplinary teams at the international level.

• Successfully developed people

• Has worked in another market as sales or commercial manager

• PetCare category and Specialist channel knowledge
