As a Software Development Engineer specializing in Office 365 Cloud infrastructure, your responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing components, services, and systems to oversee hundreds of thousands of cloud servers and devices. Your goal is to ensure high availability, low latency, and cost-efficient enterprise cloud services. Additionally, you'll leverage cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning and AI to apply them at the cloud infrastructure level on a very large scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of cloud services from design to deployment and maintenance in a large-scale, distributed cloud environment.

• Determine solutions that balance technology with business needs through analysis and consideration of diverse inputs.

• Address customer-reported issues promptly and proactively seek ways to enhance customer satisfaction beyond immediate feature improvements.

• Resolve challenges with cross-organizational strategy alignment and foster commitment across multiple teams.

• Demonstrate a strong dedication to collaboration with international teams across geographical locations to deliver state-of-the-art cloud services and products.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members to help them achieve overarching objectives.

• Continuously enhance your skills and knowledge to stay up to date, and help build a culture of innovation, continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BS/MS in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or a related engineering field

• 5+ years of relevant work experiences in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, C/C++, Python, Go, etc.)

• Familiar with one of the major cloud platforms (e.g., Azure etc.) and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux etc.) and basic networking knowledge.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead successful service delivery to customers.

• Strategic understanding of released products with customer-centric mindset.

• Effective collaboration and experience in guiding team members.

• Open-minded, collaborative, innovative and eager to learn mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in delivering multiple successful cloud services to customers.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-geographic teams across multiple time zones.

• Proven track record of technical leadership with a team and experience in guiding team members.
