Join us as a GBS Local Tax Compliance Manager, where you will play a critical role in overseeing tax accounting processes at both local and GBS levels, with a strong focus on local tax compliance.

Main responsibilities:

Tax Services Delivery:

  • Ensure timely corporate tax reporting according to the closing calendar.

  • Perform tax calculations, including indirect taxes (VAT, WHT, Intrastat, etc.), and prepare related tax returns.

  • Calculate profit tax and deferred tax by IFRS and statutory GAAP, preparing related tax returns.

  • Supervise accountants to ensure all recurring and non-recurring tax items are collected, tax accounts reconciled, and tax Manual Journal Entries (MJE) booked.

  • Prepare tax reporting at Group and country levels.

  • Support tax audits, and internal and external audits.

  • Prepare ad-hoc tax reports and analysis.

Compliance and Process Management:

  • Execute operational KPIs and proactively address execution issues.

  • Supervise and coach junior accountants, providing expertise and coaching.

  • Ensure compliance with CHC/Corporate accounting policies, internal control guidelines, and audit/SOX requirements.

  • Demonstrate CHC business values and foster a culture of internal client service.

  • Contribute to Core Model process knowledge (Level 6/7) related to tax services.

Process Improvement and Strategy:

  • Contribute to the development of process vision, strategy, and objectives globally.

  • Gather and apply best practices to processes.

  • Support benchmarking activities.

  • Implement policies and procedures governing processes.

  • Provide process expertise to relevant stakeholders as required.

  • Review ITS tools and propose improvements to enhance user experience and efficiency.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate with Hub management on all tax matters handled by the Hub for the given Country/Zone.

Ensure Compliance and Internal Control:

  • Ensure compliance with Internal Control/SOX standards.

About you

Education and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in tax accounting and compliance, with a strong understanding of local tax rules and regulations.

  • Proven track record in managing tax processes in complex environments, preferably with experience in manufacturing and/or IP management.

Skills:

  • Fluent in English.

  • Strategic thinking and ability to apply a long-term perspective to tax-related issues.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Proficient in tax reporting and accounting software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
