Abbott Finance Process and Compliance Manager in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Summary:

Role: The Finance Process & Compliance Manager is responsible for the control, effectiveness and continual improvement of Corporate Finance Service (CFS)“end-to-end” processes and procedures for CFS Vietnam. Directing and setting up key activities for standardization. Aligns finance system and local policies to ensures control, compatibility and up-to date alignment with corporate CFM. Lead, test and facilitate SOX testing and reporting and acting as point of contact and coordinator for finance corporate audit.

  • Reporting directly to: Corpore Finance Service Director

  • Function: Accounting

  • High frequency of interaction: Level Management, Region, Cross Function, Team and external Partners

  • Working location: At all CFS Vietnam locations in and around HCMC

Core job responsibilities:

Main responsibilities:

  • Set up finance Policies and Procedures for CFS Vietnam where needed/gaps

  • Review and align finance Policies and Procedures for CFS Vietnam

  • Finance internal control and compliance: review and monitor to ensure finance compliance with finance SOPs/SOX and CFM, including internal audit assessment on predefine tasks or as needed

  • Coordinate to rectify the gap between “As Is” vs “To Be” processes

  • Lead, test and coordinate for Finance SOX audit of 3A Nutrition

  • Finance lead for internal corporate audit for Vietnam affiliates

  • Process simplification champion, look for system automations to reduce manual activities and enhance control

  • Coordinate training and maintaining documentation on Finance Internal Policies, Procedures and flow charts

  • Coordinator for Finance system change

  • Finance training champion

MINIMUM BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Work Experience :

  • Strong finance and process control skills

  • Ability to understand and translate complex problems to many stakeholders of different levels

  • Having 3-5 years’ experience in finance with project and team leading is required

  • Able to work independently according to the set deadlines and have innovative approach to handling different stakeholders and ability to grasp the big picture from a global perspective.

Core Skill Requirement:

  • Solid in standardize finance process, local policies, internal control.

  • Expertise in system Matrix

  • Stakeholder management: able to manage across functions as well as external parties e.g. customers, suppliers.

  • Ownership: share the responsibility of Finance as a whole

  • Decision making: make decision when/ where needed despite of conflict information and ambiguity

Language Skills

  • English proficient

Computer Skills:

  • Able to utilize computer programs such as Power BI, SAP, excel and PowerPoint to compile, build, analyses and consolidate system data.

Core Trait/Behavior Requirement:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter, aggressive for constant improvements

  • Capable of timely and accurate deliverables

  • Strong at adaptability

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Above
