THE POSITION Are you someone who thrives in the great outdoors? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Loyalsock Forest District is looking for individuals to join their team and take on a supervisory role. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and trades positions that are involved in various tasks such as operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment, as well as constructing forest roads and facilities. It's a chance to combine your love for nature with your leadership skills, making a positive impact on the preservation and development of our beautiful forests.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage all activities pertaining to the upkeep and enhancement of state forest roads, recreational trails, boundary lines, facilities, and deer enclosures within the Loyalsock State Forest District. In addition, you will be responsible for supervising the utilization of various equipment and assigned personnel involved in carrying out these tasks. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper maintenance and improvement of the forest infrastructure, ensuring the safety and accessibility of these areas for visitors and wildlife alike.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday, with 30-minute lunch (12:00 PM to 12:30 PM). Work hours are 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Thursday, with 30-minute lunch (12:00 PM to 12:30 PM). Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience which includes one year in the operation of small and medium size construction or agricultural equipment; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license. This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Other Requirements: You must meet thet PA residency requirements. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
