Job Details

Salesforce has rapidly evolved from a startup founded by four people in a cramped San Francisco apartment in 1999 to the market leader in Enterprise Cloud Computing. Top talent across the world joins Salesforce for its "change the world" mentality; the opportunity to excel in a performance-driven, fast-paced, and competitive atmosphere; the chance to be surrounded by peers and leaders that inspire, motivate, and innovate and a corporate philosophy that incorporates community involvement into its fabric.

Salesforce is looking for an innovative and strategic social media marketer to join Salesforce's Corporate Social Media team. Our team plays a unique role for the business — we unite all of Salesforce's Social channels, voices, and communities into one team working together to make the Salesforce brand an example of Social excellence. We inspire our global teams to use Social in ways no business has before, and all businesses will want to after. Over 5M people follow Salesforce's branded channels — and we're about to leave those numbers in our dust. You'll want to be along for this ride

In this role, you will work on Social activities across the company but focused on the Salesforce corporate channels and global social governance. You will work closely with our Customer Marketing, Corporate and Executive Marketing, PR, Communications, Blog, Thought Leadership, Product Marketing, Creative, and Events teams (just to name a few) to set strategy and execute Social campaigns at scale.

Attention to detail, creativity, a passion for driving impact, and willingness to tackle new projects are key.

  • Write compelling, unique, on-brand social media copy for Salesforce social media channels

  • Own the management of Salesforce's corporate social channels and editorial calendars across Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

  • Support pre, during, and post digital campaign flights including managing social strategy, content execution, and analysis.

  • Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders to execute social programs that meet business needs.

  • Own social governance across all Salesforce global social media teams. Provide best practices, templates, communications, and more.

  • Own monthly social practitioner meetings and quarterly Social Summits that bring together global practitioners and external/internal leaders.

  • May be responsible for helping manage influencer marketing, experience marketing, customer marketing, event marketing, strategic communications, thought leadership, and/or regional marketing programs . . . to name a few!

  • Be willing to adapt and flex as our team's needs and priorities evolve. Things move fast at Salesforce! It's go time!

Experience/Skills Required

  • 3-5+ years experience in social media marketing at a B2C or B2B brand. Experience managing highly visible, high-volume channels.

  • Proven expertise as a cross-functional leader with references to back you up.

  • Deep working knowledge of social best practices and proven experience executing campaigns across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

  • Experience writing creative and compelling copy with examples to show.

  • Experience creating and managing a social media calendar using CMS tools such as Social Studio, Sprinklr, or SocialBaker.

  • Proven track record developing unique social media campaigns and stories using a variety of content types including graphics, photography, and video.

  • History working with external vendors -- bonus points given for project management expertise.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven problem analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • In your cover letter, please include one brand example from Twitter and one brand example from LinkedIn you think Salesforce should look to for inspiration. What are they doing that's unique from every other brand out there?

You'd be the perfect fit for this role if former colleagues would say the following about you:

  • “They are incredibly creative! Where do all those ideas come from?”

  • “Collaborator? Check. Able to tuck their head down and crank it out? Check. Fun, too? Check!”

  • “They inspire confidence while remaining humble. They come to the table with a point of view, but are open to other ways of seeing and doing.”

  • “They are the opposite of competitive. They believe we are better together than alone and inspire the best in others.”

  • “They are obsessed with social. It's a little bit scary.”
