How will you make an impact?
Students will be matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.
Projects may include the following responsibilities:
- Design components and assemblies to meet functional requirements provided by design engineering for next generation products· Employ standard troubleshooting protocols on equipment and related subsystems (root cause investigation and corrective action implementation)· Perform failure analysis for mechanical assemblies and components· Create and update documentation for manufacturing standards of work, including solid modeling and drawings in Solidworks· Assist engineers in performing product and component validation testing· Compile and analyze validation data, prepare reports and make recommendations for changes and/or improvements· Support engineering changes for existing products and/or processes· May be required to perform other related duties as needed
Compensation & Relocation:
Our Research&Development co-ops offer an hourly rate between $21.50 - $35 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines).
Paid Time Off: In the state of Oregon only, Interns are eligible for Paid Time Off. Full-time colleagues accrue 120 hours per year. New hires will begin PTO accrual on the first full month of employment.
Relocation: Internships longer than 6 months in duration and require the intern to relocate at least 50 miles from their former residence, are eligible to receive $8,000 (net) in relocation assistance within 30 days from their start date.
How will you get here?
Undergraduate or Graduate student completing an Engineering or Life Sciences-related degree.
0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.
Consistenttrackrecord of results demonstrating integrity,innovation,involvement, and intensity.
Energized through championing change, driven in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity.
Excellent interpersonalcommunicationskills with a high degree of emotionalintelligence.
