SUMMARY: Qorvo is looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician that will fit well into the company culture. We are seeking a candidate who is intelligent and flexible \' someone who can change priorities at a moment\'s notice and someone who is enthusiastic about learning and growing as a technician in the semiconductor industry. This is a non-exempt position working on a compressed work week shift \' night shift (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.). This is a factory position and requires wearing cleanroom attire and working in a cleanroom environment. Standing for long periods and lifting up to 35 lbs is required. You may be required to wear PPE and be exposed to hazardous processing materials. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for performing scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment Work closely with the factory management team to prioritize job tasks Work closely with peers, supervisor, and engineering team to deeply understand root cause of failure and use those learnings to continuously improve equipment availability to meet production goals Work with vendors, field service and technical representatives, and may be required to attend classes, seminars, vendor training if required Attend shift pass-down meetings and communicate daily activities Document all work performed on equipment QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience is required 2 to 3 years\' hands on technical maintenance experience in high volume semiconductor environment The ideal candidate will have direct experience on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment Candidate must adhere to all company safety protocols Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration with others to make improvements through experimentation and drive toward standardized methods Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills required Candidate must have solid workplace soft skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be fluent in English Candidate must be comfortable navigating and operating computers Basic familiarity of MS Office programs is a plus Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities Hands-on participation and strong sense of ownership Ability to work under minimum supervision in a fast paced, high volume production environment Must be physically capable of standing/walking up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 60 pounds Must be physically capable of supporting equipment maintenance that requires occasionally bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, squatting, etc. Must be able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for possible work handling hazardous materials Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.
