Aerotek Equipment Maintenance Technician - Semiconductor in Hillsboro, Oregon

Description:

Multiple openings for experienced Equipment Maintenance Technicians in Hillsboro. This is a high-tech environment that is working in a cleanroom environment to support semiconductor manufacturing by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery. This is not an entry level role - Candidates that cannot troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical issues will not be qualified.

In this role, you will:

  • Able to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fab equipment. Must be able to fully diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on equipment.

  • Able to improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive tool break downs

  • Monitor and analyze all related tool data, make recommendation and improvements to maintenance procedures

  • Work with engineers to design and execute equipment improvements projects

  • Able to clearly communicate machine status verbally in daily pass-down meetings

  • Able to provide clear written communication to engineers and technicians on other shifts

  • Applicants will be asked to display their understanding of electronic components or electrical systems.

t- Willing to consider candidates who do not have an educational or military training in electronics or processing equipment maintenance if they have 5+ years of related industry maintenance experience.

Shifts:

Sun - Tues every other Wednesday

Thurs - Sat every other Wednesday

Day 6:30am - 6:30pm

Night 6:30pm - 6:30am (15% shift differential)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in technical related field and/or Military Electronics training OR 5+ years of prior equipment maintenance experience in a wafer fab

• Strong mechanical and electronic knowledge/skills

• Proficiency in use of computers, including MS Office

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across functions

• Strong time management skills to enable on-time task completion

• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Ability to perform physical requirements: stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift, lift up to 35 pounds, and wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment
