Intel Agile Scrum Product Owner (PO) in Hillsboro, Oregon

Job Description

The Scrum Product Owner (PO) works with the Product Managers, Solution Owners, Solution Analysts and the Development Team in generating user stories, responsible for the analysis and documentation of user stories for features to ensure that they satisfy the desired business outcomes and that the development team know what to build. The Product Owner works with the business stakeholders to understand the product vision and product strategy goals, organize the breakdown of work and drive the delivery of the outcomes.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Develop a prioritized backlog of work with Product Managers, Solution Owners, Business stakeholders, Solution Analysts and Engineering.

  • Co-develop a roadmap and drive products and features.

  • Ensuring that user stories are manageable and if necessary, sliced into smaller user stories.

  • Work with the Product Manager to understand the product strategy and the roadmap that delivers to the strategic outcomes.

  • Develop, negotiate and finalize user stories.

  • Define acceptance criteria along with the team clarity of definition of done.

  • Be available to the team to ensure clarity on business requirements are provided as needed.

  • Gather feedback to improve features and the requirements gathering process.

  • Work with client services, product and engineering to reproduce and help resolve bugs.

  • Monitor customer acceptance and engagement.

  • Proactively contribute to ongoing process improvement.

  • Works with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement.

  • Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.

  • Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.

  • Develops, owns, and executes product roadmap.

  • Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.

  • Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.

  • Leads the product functional design process based on knowledge of the users and technology. Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment.

  • Proven success in the delivery of software development projects within either a technology services or software product company.

  • Proven analytical skills.

  • Skills to manage multiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods while working in a team environment.

  • Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or any other related field.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the IT industry as a Programmer Technician Engineer or Technical Product Manager.

  • 5+ years of experience in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams, and prototyping, iterative development and Agile principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience delivering applications in the role of Product Owner Business Analyst or Scrum Master.

  • Experience with requirements design, development, engineering and testing methodologies.

  • Experience working with software development.
