The Opportunity

The 'Sentinel' Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, the first of its kind in over 50 years. This program is considered a mega-project and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides Advisory and Assistance Services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.

The Role

BAE Systems is looking for a Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst accountable to the Integration Support Contract (ISC) to support the Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile program for the United States Air Force. The ideal candidate has experience working in a fast-paced environment, engaging directly with stakeholders to implement, enhance, and support GIS solutions.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Developing GIS WebApps, Dashboards, and maps to support the Government Customer

  • Performing data management tasks such as reviewing, maintaining, creating, and analyzing geospatial data in accordance with Air Force standards

  • Creating automation tools such as scripts and queries to support geospatial data review and integration between different stakeholder systems

  • Assisting in the development of standard policies and procedures for digital engineering

  • Utilizing Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online environments to analyze and manage geospatial data

  • Facilitating meetings with stakeholders to gather digital engineering requirements for application development

  • Integrating new geospatial tools and technologies with existing systems to provide innovative solutions to the Government Customer

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Three years work experience (consecutive or accumulative)

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, GIS, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Geophysics, or related fields

  • Working knowledge of Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, Model Builder, Data Reviewer, Story Maps, Python, and other related geospatial tools

  • Ability to obtain a Secret (or higher) security clearance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master's degree in Construction, in Computer Science, Information Systems, GIS, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Geophysics, or related fields

  • Active Secret clearance

  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS); Building Information Modeling (BIM)

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Background with land acquisition, environmental permitting, NEPA, or construction planning is a plus

  • Experience with construction activities and project tracking software

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $61830 - $105120

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
