Job Overview: Position glass on fabrication equipment or inspection table Attend to glass moving through machines, adjusting equipment for proper finish Calibrates machine/equipment for desired fabrication and quality Use of hand tools and powered hand tools such as sanders, grinders, etc. Polish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power tools Inspect for quality standards Place tabs on corners of pieces of glass of different sizes to minimize risk of breakage Adhere to all safety standards and PPE requirements Other duties as assigned Requirements: Employees at OBE are expected to have regular and predictable attendance, work independently with little direct supervision, aptitude to learn and understand and willingness to cross-train in other areas as required. Lift up to 75 pounds Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently Ability to stand and walk on concrete floor for eight hours or more Ability to wear company-issued PPE such as safety shirt, hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses and hearing protection Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high. Ability to work in varied temperatures Must be at least 18 years old
