Prysmian Group Ship & Debit and Accounts Receivable Specialist in Highland Heights, Kentucky

Team Overview and Job responsibilities

You will be a part of a dynamic finance team. Your individual contribution to this team is important and critical to the success of entire team. This role will fall under Ship and Debit within the finance area. Your main duties will be working with customers on resolving discrepancies regarding our “ship and debit” program. You will be processing credits and/or debits to customers depending on the outcome of the reconciliation of their orders.

  • Documentation and problem-solving skills.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor of accounting or Business administration or related experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Accounting and reconciling experience.

  • Prior rebate experience.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Works out of a normal office environment with standard office equipment available.

  • Extended periods of sitting or standing at a desk or workstation.

  • Repetitive tasks such as typing, filing, and data entry, which may require dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

  • Will be required to sit, bend, kneel, squat, use keyboard, read, write, and speak fluently.

  • Employee will be required to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced, highly pressured environment and be able to respond efficiently and courteously to unanticipated problems and crisis.

  • This role is not typically exposed to adverse environmental conditions, except excessive eye strain.

  • When travel is necessary, will be exposed to typical travel environment and surroundings.

Duties

  • Investigate Ship & Debit claim requests for Datacom, ELE, Fiber, and

  • Specialty products from 12 distributors and prepare for payment.

  • Receive ship/debit claims.

  • Validate information from distributors.

  • Approve or deny CCP’s sent by Claims for all ship/debit claims that have.

  • Create CCP’s for distributors that do not take deductions up front.

  • Complete Ship & Debit CCP’s and forward to product management. Investigate and settle chargebacks for ship/debit distributors.

  • Help train new sales staff on proper ship/debit procedures.
