A local resort is seeking a massage therapist to join our team at the Hygeia Bath House & Spa located in the beautiful foothills of West Virginia. Therapist provide personal attention to each guest and ensure they enjoy a pleasant, relaxing visit. This is a contracted position at an established, historic resort that services guests and day spa clients by offering a wide range of services aimed at enhancing their health and well-being. This resort proudly offers a rich history, steeped in tradition and a commitment to our guests and co-workers. Responsibilities: Provides exceptional service to resort guests and day spa clients. Informs guest about the benefits of massage as a part of their overall wellness program. Consults with clients to ensure their expectations are met. Performs professional, well-executed massages and ensures the well-being and relaxation of each guest. Maintains knowledge of massage and body treatments offered at the spa, including special offers and packages. Keeps up to date on changing trends and developments in the field. Prepares and maintains treatment area equipment and supplies daily. Maintains a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper safety and sanitation of equipment and tools. Maintains knowledge about retail products available at the spa. Training: Current license/certification for massage therapy as required by the state of West Virginia or the ability to obtain license. Ability to work under pressure. Must have a friendly disposition and be customer service driven. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. Terms of Employment: This is a contracted position, days and hours will vary based on demand. Operating hours for the spa during the season (April through early November) are Monday through Saturday with hours between 8:30 am and 6:30 pm. Operating hours during the off season are Thursday through Sunday, hours vary by demand. Base pay plus tips. Background check required. |
