Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the manufacturing industry, based in Hickory, North Carolina. In this role, you will be tasked with managing and reconciling accounts, maintaining accurate records, and utilizing various accounting software tools.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for advanced tasks such as pivot tables and v-lookup functions

• Regularly performing account and balance sheet reconciliations as a crucial part of the job

• Ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger and making necessary adjustments

• Preparing and recording journal entries as required

• Managing intercompany balances and transactions using the Epicor system

• Utilizing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software for various accounting tasks

• Overseeing and managing accruals and prepaids

• Assisting with the transition from Staff to Senior Accountant role

• Resolving any discrepancies or issues found during the reconciliation process. Requirements • Applicant must have at least seven years of experience in a senior accounting role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.

• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential.

• Skill in executing Bank Reconciliations is necessary.

• Mastery of General Ledger management is expected.

• Familiarity with the creation and management of Journal Entries is a must.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis is required.

• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne accounting software is necessary.

• Knowledge of Epicor ERP software is a plus.

• Capability to manage and perform Accruals is essential.
