Fairview Range is hiring a Supervisor of Nutritional Services in Hibbing, MN!

Nutritional Services provides food services to patients, staff, and the public between our cafeteria and retail coffee shop. The Supervisor directs employees to ensure high quality food service. Responsibilities may include coaching, training, scheduling, conducting performance evaluations, interviewing and problem solving. Applies efficient use of resources to meet standards for productivity, quality & service and to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.

Schedule: This position is full time, working 80 hours per two weeks, 8-hour Day shifts. Weekends: none.

As an Supervisor, you are responsible for:

  • Orients new employees and gives ongoing inservice training per department schedule.

  • Prepares employee schedule and assigns daily work routines as needed.

  • Interviews and selects qualified employees to fill vacancies & build a team.

  • Understands and follows Union Contract guidelines.

  • Crafts solutions to resolve problems & keep operations running efficiently.

  • Maintains records including but not limited to productivity records, attendance & timekeeping records, vacation & temperature records.

  • Understands the importance of customer service as well as set a good example for customer service.

  • Provides constructive feedback to staff and receives constructive feedback from leadership and colleagues in a professional manner.

  • Actively pursues employee engagement measurement and improvement techniques.

  • Applies workplace rules and policies uniformly and without discrimination.

  • Provides stewardship of organizational financial resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Two (2) years experience in food service.

  • High school education.

  • Current Food Manager Certificate or obtains within 60 days of hire and maintains.

  • Working knowledge of food production equipment.

  • Retail point of service software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience in a health care setting.

  • Certified Dietary Manager.
