L & M Radiator Inc OEM Sales Manager in Hibbing, Minnesota

Who will you be working with? L&M Radiator, Inc. is a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of MESABI cooling and heat transfer solutions that are custom-made for heavy equipment in the mining, oil, gas, construction, and heavy industrial industries. This managerial role will be collaborating with our Sr. Management team to ensure we are selling our high-quality products to our top OEM customers around the world. The right candidate will develop intricate production knowledge and possess critical problem-solving abilities to serve our clients on a global platform. The ability to drive sales and deliver accurate forecasting while building solid relationships with our major OEM customers are key components to this position. How will you make a difference? As a member of the Sales department, you will report directly to the General Manager of L&M Radiator, Inc. and will be responsible for developing, growing, and retaining positive relationship and sales of L&M s world class cooling system solutions for heavy-duty diesel & gas engine, fuel cell, battery, compressor, hydraulic and other heat exchange applications, with our global OEM customers in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Rail, and Power Generation markets. Regular travel (domestic and international) is required to, but not limited to, customer facilities, tradeshows, conferences, job sites and headquarter location. What do we want to know about you? Bachelor of Science in Business or Engineering (or equivalent for regions outside of US). Five (5) years of territorial or regional high-volume sales and account management experience in heavy equipment industry. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP system. Experience in Lean Manufacturing. MSHA Certification. What will your typical day look like? Check Quotes to Ensure customers receive accurate, correct, and proper product quotes, information and materials. Responsible for intercompany orders. Able to process customer and vendor Purchase Orders in ERP system (Epicor) Respond to customer service needs in a timely, respectful, and diligent manner. Increase market share by identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities with strategic customers. Broaden customer relations, acquire knowledge of customer requirements, and provide feedback to management, application engineering, and customer service. Plan and work with CFO, Application Engineering and Customer Service on OEM sales budgets for FY. o Provide monthly forecasts for non-scheduled production/project business for strategic customers. Coordinate with OEMs for forecast reports and review public trends and market information. Organize OEM customer visits and meeting materials: coordinate with application engineering and customer service. Report monthly OEM sales statistics accurately and promptly to management. Coordinate with Management on the following: o Marketing and advertising strategies and budgets. o Schedule, organize, and distribute marketing literature and demonstrate consistent execution of the Sales and Marketing Plan using various methods to include social media and platforms. o Schedule, organize and participate in trade shows as requested. Perform work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines/procedures. Perform related work and other duties as assigned by President or other management staff as directed. Domestic and international travel required and could include weekend travel depending on the project. What about the physical demands of the job? Sitting for long periods of time. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for Entry Level: Regular and reliable attendance. Ability to communicate, in English, effectively and clearly by both written and verbal means with aptitude in building relationships at all organization levels. Excellent negotiation skills. Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, and CRM/ERP systems. Proven technical sales background, preferably within the Mining and/or Oil & Gas markets. Worki g knowledge and interest of mechanical & electrical equipment, particularly heavy-duty equipment utilizing diesel & gas engines. Ability to work under pressure and establish priorities. Work independently and with fellow employees. Ability to pass a pre-employment DMV screen, physical, drug, and background test. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
