JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Researcher. The individual should be a highly motivated researcher with expertise in Drug Discovery, Molecular, and Cancer Biology. The researcher will utilize molecular biology and medicinal chemistry approaches to evaluate, characterize, target, and validate novel small molecules as potential therapeutics for cancer and other diseases. A PhD in Cancer Biology/medicinal chemistry with at least 5 years of post-doc/research experience is required. Skills and knowledge in nano-formulation for drug delivery, xenograft/in vivo models (different routes of drug administration), sub-cloning, viral transduction, CRISPR/Cas9, metabolism and pharmacokinetic studies, and laboratory animal handling are preferred. Experience in Confocal microscopy and Flow cytometry is desirable. Applicant should have the ability to work in a collaborative work environment.

This is a limited-term non-tenure line position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.
