The Pennsylvania State Police is searching for a Custodial Worker 1 to join the Bureau of Training and Education as part of our wonderful team. The purpose of this position is to perform general custodial duties in the care and maintenance of the buildings and grounds at the facility. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Duties for this position include mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming all floors in the facility daily and as needed. Floors are buffed and waxed/polished as needed, or as directed by a supervisor, and may include stripping of old wax from floors.

In addition, you clean restrooms daily. This includes toilets, urinals, sinks, and showers. You stock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated usage areas. Also, you clean windows and mirrors both inside and outside of the building, and clean surfaces such as blinds and furniture. In addition, you maintain your cleaning equipment, store your equipment properly, and maintain storage and care of cleaning products.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:Please note that selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $33,839.00 (before taxes).
