ManTech’s Intelligence Sector is seeking a Proposal Technical Writer to provide writing and editorial review expertise in support of proposal response documents for the breadth of our customers, with a focus on the Intelligence Community. This position will work with capture managers, solution architects, proposal managers, and subject matter experts as a member of the Intelligence Sector Proposal Operations Team. This position requires interfacing with all levels of employees and management, and is a hybrid position with some work in our Herndon, VA office. The Proposal Technical Writer will create high scoring products with inputs from multi-disciplinary teams, and will embrace the iterative nature of the proposal review process. Responsibilities:

  • Work with Solution Architects and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to synthesize and translate complex ideas into easily understandable and scorable text.

  • Develop written solution and strategy elements with proposal teams that articulate how we perform the work, substantiate our experience, and define the impact to our client.

  • Ensure agreed upon elements are presented as a cohesive and persuasive message.

  • Implement communication skills to elicit and collect needed information from internal and external personnel in support of writing activities.

  • Write proposal response sections that maximize strength scores.

  • Provide proofreading, editing, and proposal review support for English language proposal.

  • Support an iterative proposal development process that includes meeting assigned deadlines.

  • Collaborate with graphic designers to develop materials.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel.

  • Other activities required by management.

Qualifications:

  • BA or equivalent + 3 years related proposal writing experience, preferably in U.S. Federal proposals.

  • Experience working collaboratively with technical staff to produce high quality reposes linked to evaluation criteria and withing proposal requirements.

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining multiple assignments and adapting to changing priorities.

  • Experience writing clear, logical, and persuasive responses on various technical and non-technical topics.

  • Strong writing and editing skills to include grammar and punctuation.

  • Proficiency in software tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Teams.

Clearance:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a clearance
