ManTech Lead Compensation Analyst in Herndon, Virginia

ManTech is seeking a Compensation Analyst, Lead with a track record of successfully contributing within organizations during times of transformation and having to roll up sleeves, work across lines, and collaborate to drive synergies and solutions to challenging problems. The Analyst is expected to be a proactive, strategic business partner reporting to the Executive Director, Total Rewards. This position will provide guidance to other Analysts and collaborate across the Total Rewards and Human Capital teams, including leading strategic initiatives to help achieve our common strategic goals. The successful candidate will also be expected to build productive relationships with clients and peers, apply their broad and substantive experience to collaborate with other subject matter experts and strategic advisory partners, and contribute as necessary during times of surge, to fill gaps, or in response to shifts or escalation in priorities. The Analyst will be responsible in assisting with development and implementation of new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Acts as a consultant to assist stakeholders in understanding the organization’s compensation philosophy

  • Provides problem solving through innovation and creative, out-of-the box thinking; driving to continuous improvement and functional efficiency while building functional knowledge to achieve results

  • Examines compensation trends and develop recommendations supporting business initiatives

  • Serves as a change agent as the business evolves towards a high growth trajectory; evolving in strategy and execution and influencing where change makes sense

  • Leads short-term and long-term initiatives – which may include but not limited to market analysis, plan design, development, implementation and administration

  • Provides analysis and counsel to strategic advisor partners and managers on compensation programs and initiatives related to job classification, pay structures, short term incentives, change recommendations, wage and hour regulations, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required plus a minimum of 7 years of progressive and differentiated experience in Compensation

  • Government contracting experience with demonstrated related business acumen to include knowledge of contracts, finance, business acquisition process, compliance, etc.

  • Experience in organizations and/or directly supporting client groups with 1,000 or more employees

  • Proven analytical ability coupled with problem solving and time management skills with the aptitude to multi-task and self-manage through multiple priorities

  • Proven experience administering STI and LTI programs (designing of programs a plus)

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required

  • HR Systems experience, preferably Workday

  • Foundational knowledge of HR compliance and employment laws (SCA, FLSA, etc.)

  • Strong writing and presentation skills

  • Proven success in leading strategic initiative design and successful execution requiring strong program/project management skills, and change management

  • Experience leveraging data analytics to inform decisions, make recommendations, drive change, and measure success

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity tool

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
