ManTech is seeking a proactive, motivated, career and Federal Civilian -customer-oriented Capture Executive to join our team on a remote basis or in Herndon, VA.

Role Summary

ManTech’s Federal Civilian sector is seeking a seasoned capture practitioner who understands the full capture lifecycle with proven success in various customer domains within the Federal Civilian market. Intimate knowledge, experience and relationships across key organizations and clients is essential.

This position will report to the Sr. Executive Director, Federal Civilian Growth Operations & Sector Pursuits and work closely with FedCiv divisions and portfolios to develop winning strategies driving business growth. Specifically: provide strategic direction and leadership; develop comprehensive and compelling solutions; support qualification of new business opportunities; develop creative and innovative capture strategies; and lead the preparation of winning proposals for our government clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overall responsibility for development and implementation of capture plans through all proposal development process phases leading to award of contracts.

  • Perform market analysis, strategic business planning, and capture strategy/solution development for assigned opportunities.

  • Oversee customer contact and positioning, teaming interactions, and coordination with other internal business development, solution architecture and growth resources across ManTech.

  • Drive customer relationship management and opportunity tracking, spanning a variety of contract types.

  • Understand market trends and translate customer and competitive intelligence into compelling capture strategies and solutions.

  • Leverage deep understanding of customer’s needs and objectives in the areas of Enterprise IT; Systems Engineering and Software Development; Managed Services; Data Center, Cloud and Cloud Migration; IT Infrastructure; Data Transport and Systems Integration; Application Development and Modernization; Big Data and Data Analytics; Cyber Threats, Cyber Security and Advanced Technologies.

  • Possess highly effective communication and presentation skills

  • Develop proposal executive summaries and contribute copy for requests for information, market surveys and/or white papers.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered, particularly with military and/or other government service.

  • Prior sales/business development/capture experience in the Federal Civilian market.

  • Track record of successfully capturing and winning new business opportunities each valued <$250M.

  • Ability to drive and follow the Capture Process from Opportunity Positioning and Qualification through Proposal Development and Opportunity Closing.

  • Deft at managing multiple capture efforts in a fast-paced, dynamic, cross-functional team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead/execute disciplined capture efforts focused on Enterprise IT; Systems Engineering and Software Development; Managed Services; Data Center, Cloud and Cloud Migration; IT Infrastructure; Data Transport and Systems Integration; Application Development and Modernization; Big Data and Data Analytics; Cyber Threats, Cyber Security and Advanced Technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Shipley Certification(s) or prior experience with the Shipley Business Acquisition Process.

  • Ability to work well remotely via teleworking as well as travel to ManTech DC-VA-MD Area offices as needed.

  • Public relations or marketing experience.

  • Capable using electronic productivity software and tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, Slack, Salesforce, Google Workspace and applications suite.

  • Adaptable to changing priorities and company initiatives such as process improvement and new software implementation and upgrades.

  • Proactive and autonomous, requires minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, peers, management, and clients which may involve delivering presentations in-person and/or remotely. Must be able to access, exchange, communicate, and converse accurate information in these situations.

  • Constantly operates a computer (including electronic productivity software and tools), mobile phone and other IT peripherals.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

The projected compensation range for this position is $143,600-$239,300. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
