This Position is for a Maintenance Mechanic with a work location in Hernando, MS.
Maintenance Mechanic Review
Maintenance support for company asphalt plants, company wash plants and rolling stock.
Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities
Welding using oxygen acetylene, Stick and Mig
Layout and cut steel using oxygen acetylene cutting torch
Fabricate and weld various parts of asphalt and wash plants
Safe usage of shop equipment, including shear, break press, punch press and radial saw
Safe usage of fabrication shop forklifts
Rebuild/ repair gearboxes, pumps and cylinders
Share in company core values of humility, relationships, continuous improvement and stewardship
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, required
Valid driver's license, with good driving record
Have reliable transportation
Minimum 5 years' experience in all position welding
Minimum 3 years' experience in steel fabrication
Working knowledge of pumps, gearboxes and cylinders
Ability to work Saturdays and overtime as needed
Ability to work in Hernando, MS area
Work Conditions/ Physical Requirements
Primarily inside shop work, exposures consistent with welding environment
Plant site work, as needed
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
