NJ Employer Agricultural Equipment Operators in Hermon, New York

Anticipated period of employment: 03/01/2025 to 12/15/2025

1 month verifiable experience required.

All applicants must be able, willing, and qualified to perform the work described in this job description and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in box 3&4 on page 1. Workers will perform a combination of tasks involved in the planting, cultivating, and harvesting of diversified ground crops according to the instructions of the supervisor. Workers will drive tractors, and other large farm equipment, including loaders, and skid steers. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. The worker must have an Endorsement F or G license from the State of New York to operate a Designated Covered Farm Vehicle to operate within New York State. The employer will cover this expense and allow 30 days to obtain this endorsement. Workers will operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer's fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities. Workers will repair fences and plant alfalfa and spread manure. Starting in April and June, workers will plant corn and other vegetables. From June through September, workers will harvest hay. In September through early December, workers will perform duties of corn harvest, tillage of vegetables and farm crop land. Worker will also perform other duties related to planting, maintaining, and harvesting of crops.
