The Role

Are you ready to embark on a technical adventure and become a hero to our external and internal users? As Network Engineer at Kyndryl, you'll be part of an elite team that provides exceptional technical assistance, enabling our clients to achieve their desired business outcomes.

You'll be a troubleshooter extraordinaire, diagnosing and repairing complex equipment, software, and systems with ease. Nothing will be too challenging for you to solve as you respond to escalated issues, report critical design flaws, reliability and maintenance problems, and bugs.

You'll be the go-to person for our customers who require assistance with highly technical or sophisticated products, as well as for customer installations and training. With your passion for technology, you'll provide world-class support that exceeds customer expectations.

As Network Engineer you'll perform varying degrees of problem determination and resolution expertise and available resources to ensure that our customers' issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.

You will develop a deep understanding of the local and regional infrastructure, as well as key contacts in other competencies, which will enable you to ensure that the proper team is aware of – and taking action on the problem.

Who You Are

The major responsibilities of the Firewall engineer include delivery, documentation and support of the new network systems. These responsibilities include:

• Design, support and maintain Firewalls connectivity.

• Design, build, support and maintain all forms of VPN connectivity.

• Design, build, support and maintain IT security policies.

• Providing 2nd level technical support for problems in an operational environment.

• Recommending alternative solutions, priorities, systems hardware/software, design changes and improvements;

• Performing off-hours work to support customer changes;

• Managing problems to resolution using defined process flow;

• Implementing changes using defined change management protocol;

• Performing additional responsibilities as assigned;

• Configure firewall devices

• Device activation and implementation

• Firewall Network Performance Investigation

• Perform WAN and LAN troubleshooting

• Firewall and VPN troubleshooting

• Maintain CMDB Inventory in Service-Now

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3+ years’ experience with Firewalls support

• 3+ years extensive experience / knowledge of Routing &Switching, Optimization and in load balancing worked in complex environment including various products, aware of SBM and enterprise scenarios.

• Experience in engineering/security technologies e.g., Palo Alto FW, Cisco FW ,Sharepoint,

• Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Firewall certifications.

• Cisco routers, Switches.

• Experience with routing protocols specially EIGRP, OSPF, BGP

• Design, support and maintain F5 and Netscaler Load Balancer connectivity.

• Fornite knowledge

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in English.

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced and ever-changing environment

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, project management and organizational skills.

• High integrity and strong business ethics.

• Team player with a great passion to succeed.

• Knowledge and proficiency in PC applications including Microsoft Office.
