Citigroup EUC Remediation Sr Analyst C12 - Hybrid in Heredia, Costa Rica

Job Description

The GP&P Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in implementation management for strategic initiatives, technology portfolio budget management in coordination with Global Functions Technology Services (GFTS), project support, as well as communications and policy management across Finance and Risk.

  • Assists in managing the end-to-end program tracking, reporting and implementation processes, communications and policies, as well as resource Planning and financial oversight (including staff and technology budgets).

  • Contributes to implementation of common data and data standards, common processes and integrated technology platforms

  • Enables a foundational reporting infrastructure across Citi businesses and global functions by ensuring consistency within Finance and Risk

  • Resolves complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines or processes.

  • Manages one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and considered analytical or procedural "expert" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.

  • May supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees.

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills

  • Advanced English

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

About the team

The Finance Controllers discipline is responsible for the integrity and control of Citi's financial books and records as well as the process by which reports are generated. This includes corporate/regulatory reporting, management reporting, balance sheet integrity and ensuring that franchise needs remain in focus. Focus is on strengthening the independent controls and the control environment throughout the company to support the businesses in their efforts to grow responsibly. The Controllers Systems and Data Operation (CSDO) discipline, within Finance Controllers, is responsible for the business ownership of Controller systems & data operations covering ledger and non-ledger applications, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations operations. Besides productions operations on data and Balance Sheet reconciliations, this global organization, with resources based across multiple global locations, is also responsible to drive firmwide Adjustment Reduction, remediation of Controller EUCs, and overall Controller data related initiatives in support of Consent Order and other regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibility Overview:

We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as EUC Remediation Sr Analyst - C12 - Hybrid. (Internal Job Title: GP&G Sr Analyst - C12) based in Heredia - Costa Rica . This role will be responsible for the design, implementation and execution of reporting and analysis of the Controllers EUC Remediation Book of Work, to reduce reliance on End User Computing Solutions.

This is a key role as part of a dynamic team whose mission is to support the critical transformation work of the Controllers EUC Remediation.

In this role, you’re expected to:

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in MS Excel

  • Knowledge and expertise in Program Management, including Project Management and/or management reporting and analysis.

  • Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Has experience with Solutions/Software Development Life cycle

  • A self-starter with ability to independently manage work and drive multiple deliverables concurrently.

  • Team player with good judgment, flexibility and productivity with good track record in establishing partnership and teamwork

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
