VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions. Due to growth, we are seeking candidates for Sheet Metal Technician. This new role is responsible for operating equipment according to the information and set up provided to them.

Responsibilities

• Ability to use tools to deburr metal parts

• Raw material preparation

• Part cleaning

• Part abrasive (bead blast) finishing

• Ability to adapt to new technologies

• Operate haeger machines according to the drawing and instructions provided

• Assist in packaging parts for delivery to vendors or customers

• Assist in masking for powder coating

• Ability to operate the spot welder is a plus

• Collaborate with shop personnel and project engineers

• Occasionally pick up or deliver materials and supplies using company vehicles

• Help keep the shop clean and organized

• Adhere to safety protocols in the shop environment

Growth Opportunities:

Growth opportunities available commensurate demonstrated performance as an apprentice for other manufacturing process within the shop such as Press Brake Operator, Weld Operator, Waterjet Programmer/Operator and CO2 Laser Programmer/Operator.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing

• Understanding of different material types

• Ability to read and interpret drawings

• New product introduction experience is a plus

• Desire to learn on many different pieces of equipment
