VadaTech Inc. Quality Assurance Manager in Henderson, Nevada

Vadatech is a leading Electronics boards design and manufacturing company. We deliver superior quality Electronics equipment to Communication, Defense and Aerospace sectors. The Manager of Quality for electronics manufacturing is primarily is responsible for sampling units, process and procedures, and applying statistical techniques to ensure efficiency, high quality of production.

Essential Functions

  • Establishes and implements metrics (SMT process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring production effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions

  • Establishes collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality

  • Performs root-cause analysis to identify effective Corrective actions internal as well as Vendor (SCAR) and initiate process improvements

  • Develop process certification standards and assist in process certification on the floor

  • Initiates and implements quality improvement activities as appropriate (continuous improvement) to raise the performance of the company’s product lines

  • Educates and trains employees on process and changes, certifications and compliancy.

  • Interacts with vendors to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel

  • Oversees calibration and testing of equipment’s

  • Manages quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis

  • Review supplier's purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements

  • Participates in internal and external quality audits

  • Interfaces with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and ensure that effective corrective action is implemented.

Requirements

  • Minimum ten (10) years of manufacturing and quality management experience in Electronic Contract manufacturing

  • Knowledge of electronics, PCBA. and wire harness manufacturing is required.

  • Lean manufacturing experience.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.

  • Proven track record of scheduling and organizational skills in order to complete assigned functions.

  • Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures and standards.

  • Proficient with computer systems, ERP software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external organization.

  • Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 QA systems implementation and management as a QA manager in a medium-sized Electronics Manufacturing environment

  • Having working knowledge in an Electronics Manufacturing environment with knowledge in SMT and Mechanical build techniques is required.

  • Functional knowledge of ipc-a-610, familiarity with j-std-001 and the following:

    1. Printed circuit board inspection to ipc-a-610 class

    2. Electronic component identification and verification

  • Knowledge of using Excel to present statical data are required skills

  • Proficient knowledge of ESD procedures

  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace

  • Fluent domain of the English language: ability to read, write and speak English well

  • Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
