Associate Business Services Representative
EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 65,000 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Full-Time Associate Business Services Representative for the Career Services Program.
The Associate Business Services Representative position is a non-exempt position paying $28.85 per hour at 35 hours per week. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-4:45PM and the office is located in Hempstead, NY. The role reports to Program Director.

Primary Purpose of Job:
The Associate Business Services Representative helps connect businesses with skilled employees.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform outreach to employers and business associations (e.g., Chambers of Commerce, Industry Associations, etc.) to inform them of business services available at HempsteadWorks.
Assist employers in completing job order forms and promoting their open positions.
Assist employers to develop job descriptions and training plans.
Coordinate with employers to host hiring/recruitment events.
Create flyers for events and post them on the HempsteadWorks website and social media.
Collaborate with HempsteadWorks career counselors to identify viable candidates to fill employer positions.
Develop internships and on-the-training programs.
Monitor businesses to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Keep record of employer events, number of attendees, and job placements.
Attend staff webinars, workshops, and trainings.
Collaborate with consultants, partners, staff, businesses and business associations to conduct sector-based business services.
Provide reports and perform clerical duties, as required.
Present to the LWDB, Youth Standing Committee and other entities.
Gather workforce data for grant development and planning purposes.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Must have access to automobile and possess valid Driver's License.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to foster relationships with businesses.
Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
