Job Description

Position Title: Field Service Representative - Dispatchable

As a Field Service Representative, you will provide expertise in operations, maintenance, and repair for water treatment systems across various customer sites. This role involves working with diverse technologies, including:

  • Media filtration

  • Softening

  • Reverse osmosis (RO)

  • Ion exchange (IX)

  • De-oxygenation

  • Electro deionization

  • Ultrafiltration (UF)

  • Wastewater

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance , always prioritizing Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).

  • Conduct maintenance and calibration activities on various systems.

  • Perform analytical testing, including:

  • Turbidity

  • Hardness

  • Chlorine

  • pH

  • CO2, O2, SDI, TOC

  • Other site-specific tests as needed

  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems .

  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and ensure an adequate supply of chemicals and replacement components.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues on equipment such as:

  • Valves

  • Air compressors

  • Ejectors

  • Process pumps

  • Blowers

  • Instrumentation

  • Create and maintain site documentation, providing customers with detailed technical summaries of completed work.

  • Collaborate with customer management and operations teams.

  • Ensure contract compliance with volume and quality specifications.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Additional Notes

  • Location/Territory: Primarily Grand Rapids, MI, but may include other areas in West Michigan or Chicagoland.

  • Salary: Up to $33/hour (max), with flexibility for the right qualifications.

  • Includes guaranteed pay for 40 hours/week, even if less is worked.

  • Overtime is paid hourly for hours worked over 40.

  • Travel: Extensive travel, occasionally out of town for up to 5 days. Typically home on weekends.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; technical degree with relevant experience is acceptable.
