Your Job

As the Head of Veterinary for Purina, you will lead the Veterinary business in the Nordics. This role is pivotal in driving the commercial and veterinary affairs strategies within the veterinary channel.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive the introduction and promotion of Purina's vet products to veterinarians, ensuring they are well-informed and equipped to recommend our products.

  • Develop and implement strategies to gain and increase market share over time, focusing on our veterinary products.

  • Lead and develop relationship with customers at all levels in the veterinary circuit to develop turnover, activate Purina brands, and ensure the presence of strategic products and new products, all in compliance with policies, values, and Nestlé management principles.

  • Lead and develop team.

  • Work closely with the European veterinary team to ensure alignment of strategies and goals.

  • Plan for the implementation of best-in-class practices with our veterinary partners and monitor results to ensure KPIs.

  • Be the point of contact for commercial partnerships within the channel, building and maintaining relationships at board and senior leadership levels within these customers/partners. Build joint business plans for veterinary customers.

  • A background in Veterinary Science is ideal, but not a must. A strong understanding of nutrition’s role in the clinic and B2B understanding in the Commercial Human Medical field can also be beneficial.

  • A proactive, self-driven approach. You should be ready to take the lead, find new paths and ways to succeed.

  • You should be comfortable with digital solutions and have a “Work smarter, not harder” mentality.

  • Strong people skills. You should be able to engage, understand, coach, manage, and motivate people.

  • You should be curious, have a sense of ownership, and have the courage to take initiative.

  • Excellent communication skills. You should be fluent in English and in at least one Nordic language.

  • Ability and will to travel to necessary stakeholders in the Nordics
