(Not Remote)Located in Helena, MTFirst Montana Bank is hiring for a Market President to oversee the beautiful Helena, MT market branch!Estimated Salary: $120,000.00 to $160,000.00 Annual SalaryJob Summary: This position is responsible for assisting in the development, coordination and implementation of policy, strategy and programs of the Bank to ensure continued growth and profitability. Each Market President will be assigned some of all of the following duties as determined by Branch location:Job Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below. Includes coordination of responsibilities for lending, public relations, purchasing, operations, personnel, legal and regulatory interface, liquidity and funds management and assistance in the development of short and long range plans, budgets and strategies.2.Ensure the selection, development and motivation of a competent and qualified staff.3.Actively participate as a member of the Bank Management Committee which meets monthly to evaluate, coordinate and plan the direction and activities of the Bank System.4.Direct and participate in the development of sound and profitable commercial, agricultural, real estate and installment loan portfolios. The Branch President participates in all decisions on larger loan requests and manages certain credit concentrations himself. Includes coordinating all collection efforts, administration of collateral inspections and loan files.5.Maintain an effective system of Branch operations, delegating responsibility to subordinates for day-to-day operations. Analysis and modification of procedures, monitoring their effectiveness, and recommendations for policy/procedure changes.6.Implement sound and effective personnel policies and practices including salary administration. Supervise performance appraisals and salary actions for all employees, subject to approval of the CEO. Monitor personnel effectiveness and attitudes and make appropriate changes to ensure an effective work force.7.Safeguard the Branch's assets, through development and administration of sound internal controls.8.Maintain knowledge of all important Bank activities and provide effective communication of pertinent data to the staff through day-to-day direct communication with supervisors and staff.9.Administer Branch's OREO and other assets.10.Formulate the selection of target markets within the market which provide maximum opportunities for loan and deposit growth and profitability. Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain business.11.Participate actively in various community, civic and professional organizations and activities to provide for continual development of the business community and maintenance of the Bank's image within the community.12.Interview prospective loan customers, assessing feasibility of credit request, analyzing the borrower's financial position and conducting whatever other analysis may be necessary to make a credit decision in accordance with Bank policy.13.Review contract for deeds for possible purchase by the Bank.14.Participate in the Market Presidents committee and sales call on monthly basis. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES1.Develop and implement overall Branch policies that will result in an effective operation and profitability.2.Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training and motivation of a staff competent to meet current and on-going commitments and to adequately ensure management continuity.3.Oversee and review total Branch performance to ensure adherence to Bank and regulatory authority policies and to federal, state and municipal regulations and laws.4.Contribute to future planning and sound policy formulation by active participation on the Bank's Management Committee.5.Encourage and maintain role for the Bank and its key staff members in civic affairs to contribute to community development, increased customer relationships and broadening of the Bank's public image.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.
