NORTHWESTERN ENERGY Intern Safety in HELENA, Montana
Work Location: Butte, Helena or Great Falls
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Safety/OSHA major required
- Successfully completed freshman year or above
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must provide GPA in Resume upon application
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Must have personal housing availability in work locations
- Ability to do limited travel up to 15% of time
- Ability to lift materials up to 35 pounds
- Ability to pass an employment physical, a drug test and a background check
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Provide assistance to Company safety professionals and conduct ergonomic evaluations, work site inspections, safety meeting presentations, industrial hygiene sampling (e.g. noise, indoor air quality) field inspections, visits, etc.
- Support Program Administration - OSHA recordkeeping, medical surveillance, drug and alcohol, etc.
- Support and update safety standards and programs
- May be requested to conduct research on various safety/health related issues
- Participate in organizational work meetings
- Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
- Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Temporary position, will work May - August full-time (40 hours per week) and September - December part-time (up to 20 hours per week).
$20.00 per hour.
