MONTANA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION Impact Program Coordinator in HELENA, Montana

Job Summary: The Impact Program Coordinator assists with outreach, communications, and partnership building, helps coordinate events, and supports the MCF Impact Programs. The position will provide technical and strategic support across our programs and grantmaking by working closely with grantees, assessing grantee outcomes and needs, and resolving challenges. This expertise will support MCF?s existing grantee networks, as well as cultivate new relationships and an understanding of challenges and opportunities MCF can invest in. This position will provide administrative support and coordination for MCF programs including the Local Community Foundation Program and Women?s Foundation of Montana. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations - Provide support for all Impact Programs including helping plan and coordinate events, conferences, outreach, and communication. - Impact Grants Support: Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, provide support for MCF Impact Grants, both current and any new opportunities. - Current Impact Grants include: Anceney Gallatin Valley Endowment, Blaine County Foundation Fund, Community Investment Program, Colstrip Impacts Foundation. Darby Town Endowment Fund, Valley County Masonic Endowment, Mental Health Access Fund, Montana Disaster Recovery Fund, Otto Bremer Trust Community Responsive Fund, Reimagining Rural Grant, The Snowbird Fund, and William B Pratt Endowment Fund. Assist with the coordination of grantmaking: Assisting staff with maintaining online applications and processes, standardizing grantmaking applications and processes, and packaging grant applications for review. Coordinating grantmaking committees. Supporting grantee relationships including working with grantees to ensure reporting requirements are met and gathering impact stories for reporting. Assist with creating and delivering outreach content and materials to community members and partners about Impact Grant opportunities. - MCF Impact Program Support: Local Community Foundation (LCF): Review and update LCF manuals and forms. Maintain accurate records of LCF boards. Assist with LCF+ Incentive Program. Coordinate community grantmaking committees. Assist with LCF convenings and quarterly webinars. Women?s Foundation of Montana (WFM): Coordinate WFM grantmaking committees, including scheduling, managing zoom, taking meeting notes, and preparing materials as requested. Assisting with grantee convenings, communication, and outreach. Assist the department and organization with the annual endowment distribution process. Assist with the development of department policies and procedures. Serve as a point of contact general inquiries and questions about MCF?s programmatic work via email, telephone, or in person. Assist and organize Impact Program staff meetings. Competencies - Excellent attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately with multiple time-deadlines. - Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. - Ability to work with diverse populations, interact with and motivate a wide variety of people including MCF board members, volunteers, Grantmakers, grantees and donors. - Strong writing skills, including a strong command of spellin , grammar, and creativity. - Strong sense of self with demonstrated qualities of integrity, loyalty, and discretion. - Self-motivated and ability to work independently. - Proficient computer skills and experience with databases. - Ability to work effectively in a shared leadership work environment. - Excellent ability to prioritize competing projects and effective time management skills required. Impeccable follow-up on commitments. Education and Experience - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. - Two years? experience working in a related field, preferably in nonprofit organizations. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. The person occupying this position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Location This position is a non-exempt benefited position between 32-40 hours/week. This position can be based at any of MCF's office locations in Montana, including Helena, Missoula, Billings, Bigfork, or Havre Travel Occasional travel may be expected.
