Applied Materials Manager, Supplier Engineering – Ebeam Technology (m/f/d) in Heimstetten, Germany

Our subsidiary, Integrated Circuit Testing GmbH (ICT GmbH) , with 160 employees, d evelops and produces electron microscopes , the heart of our machines, which monitor processes in semiconductor production and classify the smallest defects on wafers . To meet the rapidly increasing demand from our customers in the semiconductor industry, our location near Munich, Germany is constantly growing.

For our Engineering team, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager, Supplier Engineering to lead our efforts regarding industrialization and manufacturability during the development of our Ebeam columns.

The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers and the R&D team, to optimize processes, enhance product quality, and ensure reliable and scalable delivery of materials and components.

You’re eager to;

  • Be a part of highly qualified engineering team, to efficiently manage the manufacturing as well as technical domain of complex modules developed by our R&D team

  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure a prompt execution as well as efficient and smooth production

  • Take a lead on driving our suppliers to excellence for enabling smooth manufacturing processes in our facility near Munich

You onboard with us to;

  • Be part of a core engineering team which is focused on robust manufacturing of high-end products and modules

  • Solve complex technical issues to ensure robust volume manufacturing & drive design improvement activities to establish reliable design

  • Act as technical liaison in evaluating Electron-Optical manufacturing process

  • Lead and develop a small team of highly motivated engineers

  • Work with Engineering (Design) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements

  • Work closely with suppliers to ramp up manufacturing capabilities of Electron-Optical modules and ensure robust production processes

  • Take responsibility for Applied Materials suppliers’ manufacturing compliance from product release to sustained production

  • Assess, audit & optimize supplier manufacturing processes to achieve flawless serial production

  • Understand and interpret engineering drawings & review them

Requirements & skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) in engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, or a related field, preferably in the high-tech or semiconductor industry. Proven experience (at least 2 years) in leadership role

  • Knowledge of Dfx principles

  • Knowledge in manufacturing technologies

  • Experience in managing supplier relationships and driving process improvements

  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards and best practices

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
