CVG Airport Authority Lead Environmental Services Technician (3rd Shift) in Hebron, Kentucky

CLASS SUMMARY:Responsible for overseeing environmental services staff and contractors, scheduling and inspecting the facilities. Performs environmental services tasks, to include cleaning and disinfection of all airport facilities and other related work as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.Oversees job duties of environmental services, floorcare, and contracted staff to ensure work is accomplished in a timely manner. Completes employee performance evaluations and assists with time keeping as needed. Trains and oversees the environmental services staff in the proper handling of chemical agents in the cleaning process.Uses technology and innovative solutions.Oversees the coordination of stocking of supplies and other cleaning materials throughout the airport. Orders supplies and replacement parts and transports biological-barrels as needed.Conducts walk through of airport areas, inside and out and directs staff where further cleaning is needed.Attends all CVG AA training as requiredTrains employees on disinfecting procedures and COVID spray techniques.Remains alert to public safety and security concerns. Follows all safety protocols, reports unsafe conditions when required, notifies leadership and supports the outcome.Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED and three years of cleaning experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:Maintain Security Identification Display Area Clearance (SIDA)Valid Operator’s LicenseObtain and maintain position appropriate NIMS & emergency training. KNOWLEDGE OF:Applicable OSHA safety standards and other Federal, State and local regulations;Methods, techniques and materials used in cleaning maintenance of buildings;Personal protective equipment;Material safety data sheets.SKILL IN:Demonstrated skill in making independent determinations;Demonstrated supervisory skills;Clearly and effectively communicating both orally and in writing;Use of a variety of computer-based technologies including word processing, graphs and spreadsheets;Establishing and maintaining effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative and respectful relationships with diverse internal and external colleagues, peers, work teams and workgroups. ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Positions in this class typically require: balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
